2014 Event Overview
The GWMS is held in a setting which encourages discussion. The Symposium includes oral presentations and posters, as well as networking events to provide opportunities for technical interaction and discussion in a setting where all participants can engage and share ideas. The core of this event is the submission of extended abstracts reviewed by a program committee. Accepted abstracts will be published in a proceedings provided to GWMS participants.
A broad coalition of government agencies, waste services companies, consultants, vendors/suppliers, researchers, and leading trade organizations and scientific foundations are invited to participate and benefit from the Global Waste Management Symposium.
The GWMS offers many opportunities for sharing of ideas and problem solving with colleagues and GWMS sponsors, through receptions, networking functions, breaks, and the GWMS golf outing.
Leadership for the Global Waste Management Symposium rests with two committees. The Technical Committee develops the programming, including speaker identification, publication of the proceedings and develops peer-review journal submissions. The Business Committee guides venue selection, sales/marketing and the identification of strategic partners/sponsors.
